You’re back on that plane again the following week and the next and the next and the next. So you go from something that is acute immediately to something that’s stressful over a long period of time and it’s sort of like a constant issue that you deal with throughout your flying career. This is what I term as jet stress because it’s a stress on the body, it’s continual, and it has a pattern to it that if not dealt with will lead to a breakdown in health, and affect other areas of people’s lives.

My guest today is Christopher Babayode. Chris is the author of a book that I enjoy quite a bit - it’s called Farewell Jet Lag: Cures from a Flight Attendant. As you may be able to surmise from the title, Chris is a long time flight attendant for the UK’s largest airline. When I was talking to him, he was flying back and forth between the United States and he does both short-haul and long-haul flights. Chris is also a certified naturopath and operates a clinic in London which helps others, specifically busy business people (say that 5 times fast), customise healthy lifestyles around their business travel.
